During the briefing following the results of the Stavka meeting, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, said that the situation in Pokrovsk remains difficult. "The enemy's number 1 goal is to occupy Pokrovsk as soon as possible," the head of state said. According to him, during three days, the city suffered 220 assaults, and there are about 314 Russian invaders on its southern outskirts.

Zelensky clarified that all decisions regarding the evacuation of civilians will be made by the military leadership. Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that October became a record month for Ukrainian troops in terms of the number of eliminated Russian soldiers. Thanks to the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), more than 25,000 Russians were killed in October. "This is the largest number of Russian losses since the start of a full-scale war in one month," the president emphasized.

According to him, data on losses are confirmed by video footage, as well as the increase in the number of drones on the front contributed to the increase of these losses. The President announced that Ukraine is launching a program to protect frontline cities, in particular Kherson, from Russian drones. "The program is ready for implementation and has already received support at the state level," Zelenskyi noted.

It involves the creation of a system for detecting, intercepting and neutralizing enemy drones. Such initiatives will be extended to other front-line settlements. Volodymyr Zelenskyi also commented on the issue of supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. "President Trump did not say no, and various institutions gave us positive signals about this decision," he said.

According to the president, American manufacturers are ready to supply Tomahawk missiles in case of a positive decision by the US president. Zelenskyi also said that financing the purchase of Swedish Gripen fighters depends on many factors. However, Ukraine is counting on Russia's frozen assets. Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal added that on November 6, a memorandum was signed between Ukrainian companies and the Swedish company SAAB on the localization of production of Gripen aircraft in Ukraine.

Full production of the aircraft is expected to begin in 2033. The press conference, which took place on November 7, covered a wide range of topics, from combat operations on the front lines to important agreements with Ukraine's partners regarding military equipment. As Focus reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky is convinced that the Kremlin needs Pokrovsk for negotiations with the White House.
