"It was a mistake": a priest from Transcarpathia apologized for the prayer for reconciliation of Ukraine and the Russian Federation (video)

According to the clergyman, he was guided by the fact that many peoples were at odds for centuries, however, after years, "the Lord gave them the spirit of reconciliation. " The priest of the Mukachevo Greek Catholic Diocese Roman Kurakh called his statement that it is necessary to pray for the "reconciliation of the peoples of Ukraine and Russia". According to him, the phrase was inappropriate and spontaneous. Roman Kurakh said this in a conversation with the Lviv priest Justin Boyk.

"In the context of war, it is dangerous to say such things, and it was a mistake. I think I was guided by the fact that when I studied in Europe, I saw how people who were at odds with each other - England, France, Germany, other peoples - then then - then The Lord gave them, not immediately, after years or hundreds of years, the spirit of unity, the spirit of love, the spirit of forgiveness and the spirit of reconciliation.

My motivation and desire were that everything is possible for God and that He can reconcile any peoples. These two peoples are too, "the priest said. He also added that he considers any person a "crowning crown. " Therefore, all the people created by God are beautiful. And all the peoples are "beautiful in the eyes of the Lord. " "And that was my reason why I used this term against both peoples," Roman Kurakh said.

We will remind, on August 7, the priest of the Mukachevo Greek Catholic Diocese Roman Kurakh was in the center of the scandal after he asked the god to reconcile "two great peoples-Ukraine and Russia" during the sermon. In the Greek Catholic Cathedral of Uzhgorod, Roman Kurakh proclaimed the following prayer: "We ask the Lord very much to do it, this miracle: reconciled these two great peoples-Ukraine and Russia.

That these two peoples do not push, torture, not destroy They killed each other, " - said the priest. The prayer was heard by journalist Daria Sipigin and tried to explain that Russians and Ukrainians were not brotherly peoples. In response, the chickens noted that he could say everything he sees fit. And he is ready to bless the Russians, even if his brother dies in the war. According to Daria Sipigina, Roman Kurakh is called "one of the most choral priests and speakers in Transcarpathia.
