Putin demanded a permanent neutrality for Ukraine: Trump suggested postponing for 10-20 years

The requirements of the Kremlin provide for the compulsion of Ukraine to constantly neutrality without joining NATO and the introduction of strict restrictions on the size of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin directly rejected the proposal, which was reported, was considered by the team of US President Donald Trump, in early November 2024, to postpone Ukraine's accession to NATO for at least a decade as a condition for termination of the war.

About it writes "Institute of War Study" in the summary of December 26. On December 26, Putin answered the journalist's request to comment on the proposal of the Trump team-to postpone Ukraine's membership in NATO for 10-20 years. Putin stated that it would not matter if Ukraine would join NATO "today, tomorrow or 10 years. " This is one of Putin's comments that he made recently, repeating the refusal to consider compromises, as in late 2021 and early 2022.
