The Russian Federation is ready for negotiations with Ukraine: Putin will agree to territorial concessions

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation began to use more aggressive tactics against Ukraine. American intelligence believes that Moscow's energy is trying to force Kiev to consider negotiations. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin is ready for negotiations on war in Ukraine, but without significant concessions. This was reported by US National Intelligence Director Euril Hein during the hearing in Congress on May 2, Voice of America reports.

"Putin showed his willingness to start negotiations with Ukraine and the United States on the future in Ukraine, but without any signs that he is ready to make significant concessions," said Euril Hein. She stressed that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation use more aggressive tactics against Ukraine. In particular, it is also a lot of blows to Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

Thus, Hein believes that Moscow wants to convince Kiev that the continuation of the struggle will only harm Ukraine and will not offer the way to victory. Reuters with reference to the words of Hein noted that the Russians want to prevent Ukrainians from moving weapons and troops, slowing down defense production and forcing Ukrainians to make them considering negotiations.

Moreover, Euril Hein is convinced that this aggressive tactic will continue, and the war will probably not end in the near future. We will remind, on May 1, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba reported that Ukraine can begin negotiations with the Russian Federation after a coalition of countries that share trait principles, as a result of a peaceful summit in Switzerland, is formed. According to him, since 2014, more than 200 rounds of negotiations with Moscow have been held.
