"Not over": Czech President voiced his forecast for war in Ukraine

According to Peter Paul, now neither Russia nor Ukraine is able to achieve the goals on the battlefield. Peace negotiations are possible only if any of the parties are tired. After the election in March, Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to finally control the Donbas in Ukraine. This opinion was voiced by the President of the Czech Republic Peter Paul, reports Radio Prague International.

According to him, as soon as Vladimir Putin is likely to take up the presidential chair for the next few years, he will try to achieve at least minimal goals in Ukraine. It is about full control over the occupied regions, including Donetsk and Luhansk regions. "Conflict in Ukraine will not end quickly because neither Russia nor Ukraine is able to achieve the goal.

It is logical that Ukraine seeks to restore full control over its territory in internationally recognized borders, which, in principle, should be supported," - said Peter Paul. . The Czech Head of State continues to make peaceful negotiations, and can lead to mutual fatigue from war. At the same time, he expressed his admiration for Ukrainians who have been fighting an enemy for 2 years, which has a quantitative advantage.

But as for the spread of conflict into the territory of one of NATO countries, Peter Paul is convinced that modern Russia is too weak in order to attach more to other states and open a new front. "Now Russia is so weakened by the war against Ukraine that it will not be at risk of resorting to any conflict with NATO countries. However, this cannot be excluded in the future, especially if Russia has achieved any significant success in Ukraine," the Czech President summed up.

We will remind, on January 30 it was reported that Ukraine was urged to restrict the offensive and defend, as Czech President Petr Pavel said. According to him, in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation there are now more opportunities on the front than that of the Armed Forces. Partners can correct this with the help of deliveries of rockets, artillery and fighters F-16. Already on February 17, the Czech President said he found 800,000 ammunition for Ukraine.
