How exactly did Ukrainian drones

The main secret of the operation "Web": How Ukraine technically organized a blow to the airfields of the Russian Federation

How exactly did Ukrainian drones "invisible" for Russian radio channels in the operation of "spider web"? The thing is, according to an exVivation serviceman Bogdan Krotevich that the management was carried out with the help of a mobile Internet . . . Probably FPV-drones used in operations were guided through a mobile Internet-in particular, through 4G or LTE networks. This made it possible to avoid the use of traditional radio channels and land management stations.

Thanks to modern mobile networks, drones had sufficient bandwidth to transmit video from the camera in real time and accept control teams at a distance. Therefore, the drone operator could be anywhere thousands of kilometers from the venue. Technically, the drone was equipped with an Ardupilot-based software and hardware complex, which is widely used for drones due to its ability to stabilize flight, work autonomously and operate with significant communication delays.

The drone was installed an LTE-fashion with an Ethernet output to which a single-plate computer type Raspberry Pi or Orange Pi was connected. This mini -computer took a video signal from the camera and handed it to the operator, and sent guiding signals directly to the drone autopilot through a special port. Therefore, the drone was fully controlled through the Internet, without the need in the physical presence of a person nearby.
