The lawyer stressed that during the martial law, which is still in effect in Ukraine until February 14, according to the current legislation of Ukraine, all servicemen may be mobilized to protect the country. Kravets confirmed that in the project of Law No. 10378 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Improvement of Certain Issues of Mobilization, Military Accounting and Military Service" it is proposed to reduce the conscript age for men from 27 to 25 years.
However, as the lawyer noted, this bill has now been sent for revision. According to the lawyer, general mobilization in Ukraine applies to men from 18 to 60 years, for the higher command - up to 65 years. However, those who have the status of conscripts, that is, persons who are in stock for the staff of the Armed Forces and other military formations for a special period, can call up to 27 years.
"Ukrainians under the age of 27 have not served in the army and do not have the status of a conscript, they cannot mobilize. In this case, 27 years of calling for 27 years is only with their consent," Kravets stressed. That is, according to the lawyer, if the man is not a military manner, he did not serve in the army, only 27 years can mobilize him for military service. The mobilization laws include seven categories of men who can mobilize to the Armed Forces.
There are also men who can go to the army voluntarily. The People's Deputy from the Voice Party Inna Sovsun reminded that women also have the obligation to defend their homeland, so they should also be called to the army. We will remind, on January 29 it was reported which experts are most needed on the front during general mobilization.
