Canada has announced joining the Drone Coalition for the Armed Forces

The Canadian government has promised to continue to look for ways to increase Ukraine's opportunities in the field of drones. Canada has announced an accession to the Coalition of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, which is jointly headed by Latvia and the United Kingdom. This was reported in the press service of the Canadian government.

According to the press service as a member of this coalition, Canada will continue to look for ways to increase Ukraine's capabilities in the field of drones. In addition, the official statement emphasizes that Canada has made a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian drones, transferring more than 100 to Canada specialized L3 Wescam drones in Canada.

The press service reminded that last month the Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair announced an additional donation for Kiev in the form of more than 800 drones from Teledyne Flir. Blair also participated in a video conference on Ukraine's support organized by French Foreign and European Affairs Minister Stephen Sezhurne and the Minister of Armed Forces Sebastien Lecorton.
