In particular, it was noted that since the start of the work of the Interagency Working Group in September 2022, Ukraine has imposed sanctions on more than 3300 natural and 1550 legal entities involved in activities against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state. The ambassadors were also informed of the further plans of the Ukrainian side to implement the sanctions implemented.

The First Vice Prime Minister emphasized that increased international sanction pressure on the Russian Federation remains an important tool for combating Russia's aggression against Ukraine. In this context, it noted the need for greater synchronization of sanctions against the Russian Federation by the EU and G7 countries. It also emphasized the need to introduce the most rigid sectoral sanctions on Russia in order to limit the Kremlin's ability to continue an aggressive war against Ukraine.

Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Vladislav Vlasyuk noted the interest of the Ukrainian side in strengthening coordination and cooperation with the Seven Group countries in the sanction track.

He presented the G7 ambassadors the latest developments of the International Working Group against Russia, headed by Presidential Office Andriy Yermak and Director of the Institute for International Studies Friman-Pogli, Ambassador Michael McFol, in particular regarding the assessment of the impact of sanctions against Russian on the aggressor.

Vladislav Vlasyuk noted the importance of introducing sanctions restrictions against the nuclear industry of the Russian Federation in view of the role of Rosatom in the illegal seizure of Zaporizhzhya NPP. Particular attention was paid to increased sanction pressure on Russian propagandists and cultural figures who actively support the illegal war against Ukraine.
