There is no peace for Putin. Why the 2024 year becomes crucial for victory in Ukraine

We know that Russia is ready for exhaustion war, no matter how many thousands of its citizens it will lose, and that Moscow is spending more and more of its continuing resources. The expenditures of Russian President Vladimir Putin for defense and security have already reached stunning 40 percent of the country's budget expenditures. And since the beginning of the year, the Kremlin has raised rates, increasing the intensity of its attacks.

In the light of all this, Ukraine has done an incredible work on the renovation of the invader. She returned 50 percent of the territory stolen by Russia and opened the maritime passage to the Black Sea. But Kiev needs additional support - not only from the United Kingdom. Our adolescents also have to activate. For its part, the United Kingdom is intensifying its efforts to assist Ukraine. Earlier this month, Prime Minister Richa Snak met in Kiev with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

During his visit, Snak announced an increase in UK's military support to £ 2. 5 billion, resulting in the total volume of UK military assistance exceeded £ 7 billion. These new money includes £ 200 million for the production and purchase of surveillance, long -range shock systems and sea drones. The United Kingdom has become the first European country to have sent anti -tank weapons, modern Western combat tanks and high -precision long -range rockets.

Now it is becoming the largest drone supplier. More importantly, during his trip, the Prime Minister signed a historical agreement between the United Kingdom and Ukraine on security cooperation. This agreement, which officially issues support in everything - from intelligence exchange and cybersecurity to medical and military training - lays the basis for a hundred years of partnership. The message could not be clearer: the United Kingdom has taken up for a long time.

But the message, which I send to my colleagues from the contact group from Ukraine's defense, is that they should also take action. Over the past two years, the United Kingdom has intensified the international community. It has united 11 countries to help teach Ukrainian recruits here in the United Kingdom, which is part of 60,000 Ukrainian personnel, which has been trained in 2014.

It founded the International Fund for Ukraine, raising more than £ 750 million for the purchase of priority military equipment, and another round of trading started literally yesterday. Moreover, together with Norway, it heads the maritime coalition, designed to return to Ukraine firm confidence in its safety in the Black Sea - and it is expected that a number of countries will join. However, we have to preserve this dynamics. And for this we need more diplomatic, economic and military support.

There is no world where Putin could be allowed to win. This will not only give him the courage, putting our other Eastern European allies under the sight of Russia, but will also become a signal of China that everything is ready for admiration. There can be no oscillation. No standing behind the fence. You don't have to wait to see what side the wind blows. Putin believes that the event can be demanded. He believes that we lack strategic patience. And we need to prove that it is not right.
