The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are preparing for an offensive operation that will last until the end of 2025 - expert

According to Alexei Hetman, the offensive itself must begin approximately in late March - early April 2025. And now the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are trying to accumulate equipment and prepare troops. The intensity of hostilities on the front decreased not because the Armed Forces of Ukraine had exhausted the Russian army, but a sign that Moscow is preparing a protracted offensive operation, which will last from 6 to 9 months.

The military analyst Alexei Hetman said this in a comment to Freedom. "The main reason (reducing the intensity of hostilities-ed. ) Is not the depletion of the Russian army, but still its preparation for possible offensive actions in the spring this year," the hetman said. He said that the Russians planned the onset at the end of March - early April. "They prepare a long offensive operation - they say that they have been calculating its half a year up to 9 months, that is, almost for 2025.

According to him, when preparing for the offensive operation, the enemy tries to prepare troops, in particular those units that have suffered great losses. In addition, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation want to accumulate equipment and bring it to combat. "To believe that we have been beaten so much that they are unable to carry out further fighting would be a very optimistic exaggeration.

They have more than half a million people on the front line, so practically remained," the Hetman emphasized. At the same time, the expert acknowledged that at the end of 2024 the Russians began a negative balance not only in technology, but also by live power, when the invaders were losing more than they can put. "They have a decrease, but they will have the strength and means to take offensive actions. This is what the reduction of their offensive actions is related," the hetman said.
