According to him, new technology allows you to identify, identify and monitor single UAVs or whole swarms, analyzing the video transmitted by cameras and thermal imagers with a number of multi -current algorithms. They improve the quality of the video, distinguish objects, cut off false goals, calculate where the drone is and where it moves. Researchers have created a mobile complex that should work in the urban environment using new technology.
The scientist emphasized that UAVs are now most often sought with the help of expensive radar systems (radars), which practically do not notice small drones (up to 40 cm) and work poorly in dense urban development. The developers have decided to use camcorders, but real -time image processing requires complex calculations. As Anatoly Kalyaev added, the method he created is already used to create new systems of automatic detection of air goals.
The tests have proved the ability to process large amounts of data up to 1 Gbps, analyzing the situation. First of all, the scientist proposes to use such systems to protect power plants and other critical infrastructure. Anatoly Kalyaev, together with other Russian scientists, Maxim Hisamutdinov, develop a universal video processing complex.
According to scientists, it will allow you to create different systems of monitoring drones with the help of many video cameras and computers that automatically analyze the video and distribute tasks. They want to accelerate the processing of individual images, but at the same time combine several camcorders into one network so that they look at the zones in parallel. Earlier, they wrote that in Russia they try to protect the infrastructure with the help of the "August-VS" system.
