Disappointed by Putin's indifference: Trump loses patience, but hesitates with sanctions on the Russian Federation - the media

To spread: US President Donald Trump signals that his patience against Russian President Vladimir Putin is exhausted, but Trump has not determined in his further actions and decisions on sanctions. Politico writes about it that Trump was disappointed with Putin's indifference to his proposal to restart relations after a peaceful settlement, he has not yet decided to change his policy.

"Putin is dangerous to burn the Golden Bridge that Trump has paved to him," the unnamed representative of the Trump administration told reporters. According to four US officials, Trump has not yet decided whether to impose additional sanctions against Moscow in response to Putin's strengthening on Ukraine.

The publication notes that European allies, faced with the possibility that Trump can give up peace talks without punishing Russia, trying to find out how they can take the initiative to support Ukraine. "From the first day of his stay in office, Trump makes such, albeit inconsistent threats, but never increased pressure on Moscow, even though Putin has repeatedly spoke about supporting peace, while strengthening Ukraine's shelling," the material reads.

Last week, Trump talked to several European leaders after telephone conversations with Zelensky and Putin, he seemed to justify Putin's reluctance to participate in peace talks, according to two people who were familiar with a conversation. According to the sources of the publication, Trump suggested that Putin may have refused to join the ceasefire negotiations after the threats of new economic sanctions by Europe and the US.

Although Trump was disappointed by Putin, they say sources, he gave the Europeans a clear idea that he did not like sanctions, and hoped that he would be able to force the Russian leader to join without pressure. We will remind, Trump said that Putin was "playing with fire" and if it were not for him, "there would be many very bad things with Russia.
