President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky took part in the format of video connection at the NYT DealBook summit and talked with the participants of the event. Answering the question when, in his opinion, the war will end, the head of state stated: Ukrainians - realists and understand that they are fighting with the Russian Federation, and in their territory there are the largest fighting since the Second World War.

They are accompanied by military crimes: torture, rape, rocket strokes on civilian sites and infrastructure. “It will end when we win or when the Russian Federation wants it. It can happen that the Russian Federation only wants when it feels that it is weak, is in isolation and has no partners, ”the President said. That is why, according to him, the support of Ukraine by partners and the whole free world is so important.

The Head of State expressed gratitude for the help of Ukraine, the support of our citizens who were forced to seek shelter in different countries of the world, escaping from war. At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged not to repeat the narratives of Russia, which is trying to count the value of international assistance provided to Ukraine or compare the war in our country with other conflicts.

The head of state noted that the cost of this war is measured first in the lives of Ukrainian citizens who are fighting for freedom and democracy not only in Ukraine but all over the world. "Because, if Ukraine does not withstand, this war will spread to other territories and maybe even other continents," the President stressed.

Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his belief that the business relationship with the Russian Federation should have a common position of the world, including citizens, business representatives, about restrictions on contacts and opportunities for cooperation, because only this can make the Russians think about their country's policies. “It is society in Russia that chooses itself politicians, leaders. And if they are comfortable to live, if the relations of other states with them continue, if their business continues the relations of other states, then they will not feel any discomfort.
