SAMP/T missiles deficiency: Zelensky told how to solve a problem with air defense (video)

The head of state said this during a briefing after the second security summit in the UK. Zelensky thanked Italy and France, who provided Ukraine with SAMP/T to protect important facilities in certain regions. He also confirmed that during the war the country was constantly having problems with the air defense missiles because they "never had enough. " According to him, there were appeals to the manufacturers to buy a license for production, but there is no positive solution yet.

"The war has taught us a lot. One of it - if you can take a license from a partner, then take away, because you will do faster. I did not get these licenses. I really wanted it was very important. The problem with SAMP/T is a great difficulty. We are developing this direction," the president summed up. During the press conference, Zelensky explained the peculiarity of the SAMP/T Franco-Italian complex. The President gave the example of Germany and its complex Iris/t.

Germany has set up a complete production cycle, so Ukraine always knows when and how many means will receive. However, there are another military equipment, which is involved in the production of two, three and four countries. In this case, you need to buy licenses, negotiate. And this is related to the difficulties of the SAMP/T missile, which knock down the same goals as the Patriot ZRK, Zelensky said.
