Sudzhi under the control of the Armed Forces: Is Ukraine it is worth stopping the transit of Russian gas

Gazprom could stop the supply of gas to Europe, citing the seizure of Ukrainian, but for some reason it does not. Gas market expert Sergei Makakon gives five explanations for such behavior, which seems illogical only at first glance. Why does Gazprom not stop gas transit through Ukraine? As an expert in gas transit, I am very interested in why Gazprom still does not stop transit, when there are many arguments for this.

The main one - Gazprom is not controlled by the Sudzha gas metering station, where gas meters are located. Therefore, there are not only the risks of third -party interference with the operation of measuring equipment, but even Gazprom workers are not able to do standard procedures for maintaining this equipment. This is enough to announce the force majeure and interrupt transit.

What does Gazprom keep from the announcement of the force majeure on Sudzh, at least at the time of finding the Armed Forces there? I see the following arguments: I think Gazprom will try to work in existing circumstances as long as possible, but the risks of transit interruption are very significant. I personally do not see great risks for either Ukraine or Europe in such interruption. Moreover, it is better to interrupt this transit in the summer, not in January.
