Due to the attacks of Russians, Ukrainian energy suffered losses of over $ 1 billion - Galushchenko

The Minister of Energy called the situation quite complicated and added that favorable weather conditions allow to balance the power system of RES. After a series of mass shelling of the Armed Forces of Russia on the facilities of energy infrastructure in recent months, the situation in the power system of Ukraine remains quite complicated. According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy, the Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko informed about it on the air of the telephone.

"As of today, we are talking about the amounts of losses of more than a billion dollars. But the attacks are going on, and it is obvious that the losses will increase," Galushchenko said. According to the head of the department, the largest damage due to massive attacks suffered the objects of thermal and hydrogeneration, as well as the electricity transfer systems.

At the same time, the invaders do not stop attacking different types of power facilities daily by using drones, balistics or artillery. "The system is stable today, but the situation is quite complicated," the minister explained, and added that now due to favorable weather conditions, the power system manages to balance the RES.

At the same time, in some regions of Ukraine, in particular in Kharkiv, which the enemy attacks different types of weapons daily, there are restrictions on electricity supply. In this case, the region is carried out to stabilize the situation and prepare for the passage of the autumn and winter period. In order to carry out renewable and repair work and to increase the capacity of shunting generation, Ukraine attracts assistance to international partners.

On April 4, it became known that, according to the head of NEC "Ukrenergo" Volodymyr Kudrytsky, Russian troops damaged half of Ukraine's energy system with their shelling of ballistic missiles. Therefore, due to the significant amount of damage to thermal and hydroelectric power plants, the lack of power in the power system of Ukraine will be felt for many months.
