A group of Russian ships, which can also include the latest corvette

The Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation prepared for blockade and the interception of ships - British intelligence

A group of Russian ships, which can also include the latest corvette "Sergei Kotov" will patrol and, if necessary, intercepts civilian vessels on the way from the Bosphorus to Odessa. After Russia withdrawing from the Grain Agreement, the ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation changed their position, having prepared for the blockade of Ukraine and the interception of commercial vessels that will go to Ukrainian ports.

This was announced on July 16 by the UK Ministry of Defense Ministry. In particular, British intelligence drew attention to the Russian corvette "Sergei Kotov", which was unfolded in the southern part of the Black Sea. It is reported that this ship may be part of the operational group that will patrol and, if necessary, intercepts vessels on the way from the Bosphorus Strait to Odessa.

"There is a real possibility that it will be part of the operational group for the interception of commercial ships, which, according to Russia, go to Ukraine," the publication reads. The Defense Ministry noted that initially the Black Sea initiative has softened tension in the Black Sea region, but the risk of increasing the intensity and extent of conflict is increasing.

We will remind, on July 25 the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that 370 km northwest of Sevastopol in the Black Sea was attacked by the corvette of the Russian fleet "Sergei Kotov". According to the Defense Agency, the Ukrainian forces attacked the ship with two high -speed non -trapped boats. US National Security Council Adam Goja said that after leaving the grain initiative, Russia has set additional mine barriers to Ukrainian ports.
