Azerbaijan declared clashes with Armenian military in Nakhichevan and Agdami - media

The media reports the shelling of the Azerbaijani positions from the Armenian side and attempts to advance in the direction of the Agdam district. On September 8, from 13:35 to 13:45, the Armenian Armenian units periodically fired at the positions of the Azerbaijan army in the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic. About it reports the news site "IEN SABA" with reference to sources in the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan. "Sabah" writes that "measures were response" from the Azerbaijani side.

It is also reported that at about 2:00 pm "Illegal Armenian armed formations" in the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed, attempted to break new trenches to approach the Azerbaijani positions in the Agdam district. The Azerbaijan army stopped this attempt by taking "urgent measures". On May 11 this year, Armenia and Azerbaijan exchanged artillery strikes at the border.

The parties accused each other of provocation, violation of the ceasefire regime and neglect of the agreements reached earlier. On May 22, Prime Minister Nicol Pashinyan stated during a press conference that Armenia was ready to recognize Nagorny Karabakh territory of Azerbaijan to preserve peace. Three days later, at the EAC Summit in Moscow, Pashinyan reported that Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed on the mutual recognition of the territorial integrity of the two states.

But already in June, the shots were threaded in Nagorny Karabas. On June 15, Armenian fighters opened fire on a group of military personnel of the Azerbaijan Armed Forces and the Russian peacekeeping contingent. As a result, the Azerbaijani border guard was injured. The State Border Service of Azerbaijan reported that "the enemy's firing point was liquidated" and accused Yerevan of organizing another provocation.
