"Just Cosmos": GUR showed how Iceye's "People's Satellite" against Russia (photo) was used

The Iceye satellite "sees" even carefully disguised objects of the invaders, helping the forces of Ukraine's defense to destroy Russian planes, ships, air defense systems, warehouses and oil depots. Specialists of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine have used the Iceye spacecraft for almost two years to identify purposes and have already taken 4173 images of enemy objects.

The details of the satellite work were disclosed in the press service of the department. Thanks to Iceye, Ukrainian intelligence has reached a new level of quality and promptness of reconnaissance data. With the help of Iceye, they monitor the points of permanent dislocation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, landfills, military towns and mobilization deployment centers, military factories and a network of logistics of the occupiers, including the illegally built Crimean bridge.

This makes it possible to disclose the occupiers' plans and disrupt them. Iceye's satellite sees "the accumulation of mechanized enemy units with his equipment, even if they are carefully masked among trees. Thanks to the apparatus, Ukrainian defenders accurately determine the type and type of detected combat aircraft, ships, aircraft of Russians, as well as fix the level of damage at the objects of the aggressor after attacks.

Intelligence from the Earth's orbit also allows you to observe the situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, as well as other points on the planet where the troops or weapons of the aggressor country are located. In total, the Ukrainian Iceye took 4173 pictures of Russian objects, including: according to GUR, about 38% of the data obtained was used to prepare blows on enemy objects, which resulted in Russia's losses for billions of dollars.
