Ukrhydroenergo told what would happen if the Kiev hydroelectric power station is hit by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

The head Igor Sirota explained that hostile planes should be flew to the territory of Ukraine in the territory of Ukraine. However, rockets, in his words, could punch a hole in the dam. Russia will not be able to destroy the dams of Kaniv and Kiev Hydroelectric power plants (hydroelectric power plants). This was stated by Ukrhydroenergo CEO, Igor Sirota, as transferred to RBC-Ukraine on July 16. He explained that the largest hydroelectric power plants in Ukraine cannot be destroyed from the outside.

To do this, Russian planes should fly into the country and launch several aviation bombs. "The Kiev and Kaniv hydroelectric power station are located in the center of Ukraine, far from the front line, so the enemy's aviation is unlikely to be able to approach. This is an extremely unlikely scenario," the orphan emphasized. He explained that the Kakhovsk hydroelectric power plant had undermined from the inside because he had control over it.

Russian soldiers brought hundreds of kilograms of explosives to the occupied station. The head of "Ukrhydroenergo" assured that if the hydroelectric power plant in the capital was still affected, the catastrophic consequences would not have come. According to him, in the worst case, the basements would be flooded in some parts of Kiev. "In the case of significant damage from the missiles, the reservoir can occur - people in close settlements will be left without water.

But catastrophic consequences, as in the Kherson region, will not be," the orphan emphasized. He reported that several rockery clips can punch a hole through which the dam would pass water. For comparison, in the case of Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, the entire station and 12 water rates were practically destroyed. "It was a very large leak. It is impossible to reach such rocket strokes," the expert added.
