A new package of assistance, participation in the realization of peace formula and increasing the effectiveness of sanctions against the Russian Federation: Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Simon Harris

In Kiev, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Ireland Prime Minister Simon Harris have negotiated and signed a bilateral agreement.   The head of the Ukrainian state reported that at night seven people were killed in Lviv at night and more than 50 were injured. The Russian attack is also injured in Kryvyi Rih. The second day has been parsing in Poltava, where almost 300 people were injured.

  "In such circumstances, we especially appreciate every manifestation of our country's support, our people and appreciate that Ireland - the state of military is neutral - does not remain neutral morally," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.   The President thanked for the unchanged support of Ukraine by Ireland. Since the beginning of a full -scale Russian invasion, this country has provided humanitarian support and assistance to the Ukrainian infrastructure for 380 million euros.

  Ireland is also involved in the implementation of the peace formula and supports sanctions against Russia. During the meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Simon Harris, in particular, discussed how to make the sanction regime more effective.   “Unfortunately, Russia can still produce rockets based on components from different countries of the world. The Russian state also creates different schemes to bypass sanctions.

All this can be stopped only by the strong, timely and joint work of all countries that appreciate the normal world order based on the rules and want peace, ”the President said.   Leaders have signed a bilateral security agreement. According to the head of the Ukrainian state, this document will allow to realize the full potential of cooperation between Ukraine and Ireland, as well as with partners within the framework of security agreements.

  Simon Harris assured that Ireland will support Ukraine as much as it will be needed. He also reported that his country provides an additional EUR 36 million humanitarian aid.   “We will never allow it to continue and normalize. And for the events that happen this morning-that they do not normalize, ”the Prime Minister of Ireland emphasized.   Within the framework of the visit to Ukraine, Simon Harris visited communities in the Kiev region, who survived Russian blows and an attempt to occupy.
