We should not allow Russia to distort reality or mislead the world - President's speech at Ramstin's meeting

We know about 631 children - with names and surnames - who died as a result of Russian shelling, aircraft and missile attacks from the beginning of a full -scale invasion. And if you count from the beginning of the war in 2014, the number of killed children is 872. But unfortunately, this figure is not final.

You have seen satellite images of the occupied territories of Ukraine - pictures showing mass burials in the territories that are now controlled by the Russian army, near Mariupol and other cities in the east and south of our country. In these mass burials - tens of thousands of people. At least tens of thousands. The Russian army has transformed our cities and villages in Donetsk region and abroad into ruins. And just for stopping it, we fight.

We fight against death - the death that Russia brings to our land. Dear friends! Now let's honor a moment of silence of all Ukrainian children and all our people - civilians and military - whose life has taken this war. Please. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. We have no doubt that we can bow to peace. But for this you need to continue to press on Moscow with all the tools available and step by step deprive it of aggression. The first is air defense.

The stronger our air defense is, the less Putin sees the point in strokes in our cities and villages. So please continue to strengthen our air shield. I thank every leader, every country and every one of you who already helps. But you also know that we need faster supply of missiles and air defense systems. Our team provided clear data on the required number of systems, especially Patriot systems. This is the most effective way to force Russia to stop rocket strokes and terror.

We have also started discussing some of your countries to localize the production of air defense systems, such as Nasams, Iris-T, SAMP/T, and others, in Ukraine. Let's realize this. These systems will strengthen our common safety, because what we will create here will protect us all. The second is investments. We already have strong partnerships in the field of weapons production in Ukraine, and several common projects are already working. This should be scaled by at least 50%.

The Ukrainian industry still has considerable unrealized potential - it only needs funding. Our team can provide you with detailed calculations. And our warriors, especially those who are involved in operations, such as "spider web", prove that our drones really save lives and bring real results. We have only $ 17 billion from the national budget for the purchase of weapons for our 35-billion industry. The funding shortage is $ 18 billion.

It is extremely important that today's meeting in the Ramstein format ending with real agreements on joint production and investing in the defense industry of Ukraine. I urge you to remain fully involved in the formation of new defensive packages for our soldiers. The third is a coalition of those who want. We have already started cooperation with some countries presented here on real security guarantees and political steps that should prevent the expansion of this war or its beginning.

I thank every country that has already joined. But you need to remain practical - to prepare solutions, infrastructure and coordination. We accelerate this process at team level.
