The vulnerability of new armored vehicles: as Russian troops use on the front BMP-3

The Russians' fighting vehicles are increasingly fire from closed positions. This is due to the efficiency of the Ukrainian forces, which are used against the latest Russian technology, the complexes "Stugna" and FPV. Servicemen of the 1st Guards Army of the Russian Federation began to use BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles to support infantry units in Kupyansk. At the same time, the invaders are increasingly fire from closed positions, according to Army Recognition.

"The transition to the use of indirect fire tactics by Russian BMP-3 by Russian crews may be associated with vulnerable places used by Ukrainian troops during their near assault operations near their positions," the observers say. Such tactics, apparently, aimed at reducing the tendency to direct fire and counter -battery blows, experts added. In addition, the enemy tries to keep as far as possible and fire from shelters at a distance of more than four kilometers.

Probably, this solution has some advantages. One of the Russian servicemen, a member of the BMP-3 crew, said that his car is ready to support infantry units, having two additional ammunition in the reserve, which provides rapid response. This tactical step is related to the capabilities of the 100mm 2A70 gun, which is mounted on a combat machine. The gun uses both ordinary shells and managed ammunition.

It is about the "long hand" of the Russian BMP-9m117m-1 "Arkan" rocket with a range of firing up to 5. 5 km and armored with 50 cm of homogeneous armor. In conclusion, experts emphasize that this tactical shift is probably due to the efficiency of Ukrainian forces in the purpose and destruction of Russian BMP-3 using different methods in melee scenarios.

"These methods include the use of anti-tank controlled" Stugna "missiles and Kamikadze FPV drones, which have demonstrated the ability to overcome additional improvised BMP-3 armored vehicles, such as dynamic protection and plate armored screens," the viewers summed up. We will remind, Russia is preparing for testing in Ukraine combat work, created on the basis of BMP-3. It is now known that remotely controlled machines are created in three variants compatible with the "tit" module.
