From the first weeks of a full-scale war, Ukraine has negotiated with allies and has been developing a special mechanism that will help Ukraine get compensation from the aggressor country. So, on July 8, 2023, justice Minister Denis Masuska said that the previous way to force the Russian Federation to compensate for the losses has already been found.

According to him, the mechanism itself will consist of three key stages: by the way, as of the beginning of 2023, the European Union and partners of Ukraine from "Big Seven" frozen nearly 300 billion euros ($ 311 billion) are under sanctions.
