RheinMetall spent 8 months of time to restore the first two cars. Soon the tanks will be sent to Poland to study Ukrainian crews. The Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands has officially declared the overhaul of Leopard 2A4 tanks. The press service of the department reports. In April 2023, the Netherlands and Denmark announced the supply of 14 LEOPARD 2A4 tanks to Ukraine.

On January 16, the Netherlands Ministry of Defense stated that the first two machines were overhauled and prepared for departure to Poland. There will be training of Ukrainian crews. It is noted that all Leopard 2A4 will be ready in the summer of 2024. The Netherlands Ministry of Defense noted that they are part of an international tank coalition, which was created for the supply of cars to Ukraine.

Earlier, Denmark and the Netherlands jointly financed the purchase of Leopard tanks for the Armed Forces 1. It is known that 14 Leopard 2A4 was purchased in industry and needed overhaul. It was conducted by Rheinmetall defensive company. Defense Express notes that visually machines have no signs of any modernization.
