Going to the Russian Federation: In Lithuania, customs confiscated two Tesla Cybertruck pickups (photos, videos)

Tesla Cybertruck was detained on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border. The total cost of cars taken to the Russian Federation exceeds 200,000 euros. Lithuanian customs confiscated new Tesla Cybertruck pickups. It turned out that they were transported by smuggling to the Russian Federation. About it reports Delfi. Tesla Cybertruck's two electric vehicles were detained on May 8 at the Schalchininkai checkpoint on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border.

The customs officers were able to establish that they were traveling to Russia. It is known that European sanctions against the Russian Federation prohibit the delivery of luxurious cars (both new and used) at a price of more than 50,000 euros. However, they are often imported through third countries: the study showed that every second premium car imported into Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, then finds itself in Russia. The total cost of two Tesla Cybertruck exceeds 200,000 euros.

The Tesla electric pickups were confiscated and their drivers were detained and questioned, but then released. The smuggling is investigating. It is known that Tesla Cybertruck pickup is not officially sold in Europe, so electric cars were brought to Lithuania from the United States. You can now choose versions with two and three motors. Currently, more than 4,000 cars have been transferred to buyers.
