The new railway will improve the logistics of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which holds the southern regions of Ukraine. Putin proclaimed that she was already working, but space pictures show that it is still a long time. The Russian authorities seem to have completed the railway that connects Rostov-on-Don with Mariupol and Berdyansk. The railways pass the coasts of the Azov Sea and become an alternative for the Crimean bridge.

The readiness of a new building that does not really exist, said Russian President Vladimir Putin during a concert in Moscow. A fragment of the Kremlin leader's speech was posted on the social network X (Twitter) by RT. According to Putin, on March 18, shortly before the event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the annexation of Crimea, he was informed of the completion of construction.

From now on, confident Russian, the Russian Federation will become even stronger: there is an alternative path that can replace the Crimean bridge. During the speech, the President of the Russian Federation stated that the tracks would pass the next route: from Rostov-on-Don to Donetsk, Mariupol and Berdyansk. There is a hope that they will be reached to Sevastopol. "Only today I was told that the restored railway from Rostov-on-Don to Donetsk, Mariupol, Berdyansk.

We will continue this work and rail trains will go directly to Sevastopol. It will be another alternative road for the Crimean bridge instead of the Crimean bridge. , not in words, but in reality, makes us really stronger, " - heard a crowd of Russians collected on the square in front of the Kremlin.

It should be noted that on February 26, 2024, the Center for Journalistic Investigations (CZHR) published satellite photos and a scheme of the new railway, which the occupiers will be in the south of Ukraine. The track should connect Melitopol and Berdyansk - a new node station had to appear near the village of Osipovichi. A branching began from this point. One line went to Mariupol, and from there-to Rostov-on-Don.

The other branch went in the middle between Mariupol and the existing branch of Volnovakha-Tokmak-headed to Donetsk. At satellite photos, the investigators received, it was possible to see earthworks at the place where the railway would have to pass. According to the authors of the CZR, the railway does not yet exist. In addition, investigators noted that another railway bridge was needed, which is not yet.

The first reports of the new railway, which the occupiers want to build, appeared in the fall of 2023: they were spoken by mayor of Mariupol Petro Angyushchenko and the then Mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov. In October-November, they reported that the enemy wants to get a logistics path that would be an alternative for the Crimean bridge. In addition, thanks to the new branch, the occupiers will be able to improve the supply of units that are fighting on the Zaporizhzhya Front.

In a comment to the focus, the head of the security programs of the Center for Globalism "XXI" Pavel Lakichuk stated that the Russians planned to build the so -called "Azov ring" before the invasion. The main purpose of such construction is the "tie" of the logistics of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in this type of transport. Meanwhile, military experts noted that the new way will be 80-90 km away from the collision line.
