Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko stated during the telecommunication on this occasion that Moscow's proposal to replace the Russian military with Rosgvardia units is absolutely unacceptable for Ukraine. According to the minister, Russia wants to leave its units in the territory of the nuclear power plant, replacing the servicemen of the Armed Forces with Rosgvardia, but Ukraine will not agree to such a proposal.
"In our understanding, as in the understanding of the whole civilized world, demilitarization is a complete output of military, Rosgvardia, heavy equipment from the station and, accordingly, the creation of a perimeter around where it will not be," the official said. Galushchenko added that there is another side of the issue concerning Rosatom representatives who are illegally at the NPP.
Rosatom representatives, who are also illegally at the station, should also go with the Russian military and give the Ukrainian staff quietly and safely to perform their work. The minister noted that if the arrangements are able to reach under such conditions, it will be a positive news. However, the Kremlin's rhetoric on this issue is directed to the other side.
Earlier it was reported that Russian occupiers have been beaten and stolen two employees of Zaporizhzhya NPP, after their refusal to sign a "contract" with the so -called company "Operating Organization of Zaporizhzhia NPP" "Rosatom". As the press service of "Energoatom" reported on December 9, the Russian military intensified repression against Ukrainian personnel, which mostly refuses to cooperate with the invaders. .
