The railway infrastructure was most affected - at least five trains were detained and one passenger warehouse stood until seven in the morning. For its part, on April 12, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that at night in the Russian regions allegedly shot down 36 Ukrainian unmanned aircraft. The largest drones - 18 were destroyed in the Kursk region.
In the Rostov region and the Krasnodar region, 13 and one drone respectively, and in the Belgorod and Orel regions - two UAVs. With regard to the Rostov region, the most serious damage was recorded in the Dyn district, where near the village of Vasyurin's fragments of the drone damaged the contact network. As a result, trains were stopped. In the Timashevsky district, where the incident also occurred, partial traffic was restored after emergency work - the emergency team of the RZHD was restored.
The Krasnodar Territory Operational Headquarters confirmed that the railway canvas at the point of fall also received partial damage. According to local authorities, by the morning of April 11, the traffic on all sections of the railway was completely restored. Representatives of the administration of the region stated that the situation is controlled and no additional delays are expected.
