Share: The NC13 Strike unit of the 3rd Assault Brigade conducted a crash test of ground-based robotic systems (GRUs) in near-combat conditions. The purpose of the event was to provide NRK manufacturers with feedback from the military, in particular about system deficiencies that need to be corrected. Viktoria "Tori" Honcharuk, head of the Snake Island Institute and AB3 TECH's defense technology department, said about it.

On the first day, a panel discussion was held with representatives of the 3rd Assault Brigade, the 91st Separate Anti-Tank Battalion, the 37th Marine Brigade and the "Rage" Brigade. Manufacturers DevDroid LLC, Rovertech LLC, Terra Traverse and Ark Robotics took part in the discussion. The second stage was a live crash test, during which manufacturers operated their NRCs from the dugout. The drones had to drive through dirt, sand, trenches, fallen trees, elevation differences, zigzag tracks, etc.

The tests were broadcast on a large screen, with the commander of the NC13 Unmanned Ground Vehicle Assault Company providing real-time commentary. Only 5 out of 13 NRKs successfully passed the crash test. At the same time, several manufacturers that received harsh criticism during the forum showed high results. "This is the essence of our work: feedback from soldiers, which leads to rapid learning and significant improvement of vital technologies," the Snake Island Institute emphasized.
