"Price rise and deficit": The expert told how China's sanctions will affect the war in Ukraine

Russia will be easier to get around the restriction, as it actively cooperates with China and uses "gray deliveries". Since September 1, Ukrainian volunteers and drone manufacturers will become much more difficult to get drones or components from China, as Beijing introduces export control to drones, Valery Yakovenko said in an interview with Drone. ua. He believes that so long licensing procedures will be delayed even more, which makes the products gone up and a total deficit will be felt.

As you know, China has decided to limit the export of some types of UAVs and appropriate components that can be used for military purposes. Beijing calls it the "reaction of the responsible country". In particular, drones capable of flying more than half an hour or weighing more than four kilograms are banned. The popular DJI Mavic and other large agricultural drones come under this category.

"According to some positions of UAV components (engines, thermal imaging equipment, laser equipment, radio communications, etc. ) - additional export control is introduced. This means the need to undergo the procedure of verification in the event of export of these technologies from continental China," - says Valery.

According to him, the whole world will suffer from restrictions, and especially Ukraine, because now every distributor will need to prove to Chinese officials that their customer who ordered the drones will not use them at the front or will not be converted for military purposes. "Earlier, it has taken the month without queues, and after such a decision, the terms can still increase. It can lead to an increase in prices and a shortage of drones in October 2023," Valery Yakovenko states.

He notes that although the same conditions for obtaining export licenses are in force for Russia, it will still be much easier. First, they have a friendly relationship with China. Secondly, the common border of the two countries has weaknesses for smuggling. Third, Russia has a "union state" of Belarus, which the council will earn on "gray schemes" of supplies of all necessary, including drones and accessories to them.

However, Chinese companies still continue to supply Russia with bombardment right from drones. In China, on the order of a Russian company for drone, they developed mounting to dump large mines, weighing 16 kilograms each. Similarly, focus said that the occupiers were able to create a firmware for drones Mavic, which generally removed all the restrictions from this drone. It is said that it was not without the participation of the "Casper" laboratory, which develops antivirus products.
