The Russians called Ukrainian PD-2 drones

In the Russian Federation, PD-2 was stacked on an airfield in Adygea: what is the drones (photo)

The Russians called Ukrainian PD-2 drones "American" and probably confused them with "fierce". In Russia, it is believed that on October 10, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the military airfield "Khan" near Mikop (Adigey) PD-2. About it reports Russian media Mash in Telegram.

According to media reports, at three o'clock in the night, the Air Force troops found and knocked down one of the aircraft, which fell in the field near the village of Rodnikov 500 km from the territory controlled by Ukraine. On board, there were 19 kg of explosive substance. Due to the attack from Rodnikov, 1300 people decided to evacuate. Mash assures that PD-2, able to overcome up to 1000 km, was sent to the airfield near Mikop. Allegedly, the same UAVs attacked Moscow in early September.

The media has posted the fallen UAV, but it is difficult to determine the model. Only PD-2 is a Ukrainian drone, because it was developed by Ukrspetsysystem. It is designed for intelligence and bombing, can carry ammunition with a combat part of up to 3 kg. There are purely aircraft type models, as well as with a vertical takeoff and planting system.

The manufacturer's website lists the main technical characteristics: judging by these TTH, PD-2 could well fly from Zaporizhzhya or Donetsk region to Mikop, but would not raise 19 kg of explosives. The developers may have improved its capabilities, and possibly, the Russians simply confused the PD-2 with the shock drone "February", which is very similar to the outer place of the engine, the shape of the wings and the triangular tail.

They are attributed to the majority of blows to oil refineries and other facilities in Russia. It is worth noting that the fire at the Khanska aerodrome at 6 km from Mikop began. The locals heard a series of explosions, the local authorities did not comment on them. The airfield can take military aircraft Tu-134, AN-12, IL-18 and all lighter, as well as helicopters of all types. In addition, there is a training aviation base of Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots.
