"On May 21, 2025, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully struck the front commanding point of the 3rd Army Corps of the invaders in Bakhmut (Tot of Donetsk region). The structure was substantially damaged by the enemy," the message said. The General Staff noted that this blow seriously reduces the ability of the Russian Federation to plan and perform operations in the Pokrovsky direction, one of the most intense areas of the front.
On May 22, it was reported that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Donetsk is now trying to cover Pokrovsk, cut Ukrainian logistics and advance in the Myrnohrad area. This in the aggregate indicates that the Russian Federation has already started preparing the basis for the offensive on Konstantinovka. On May 20, it was reported that the Russians in the Pokrovsky direction want to kill a wedge between the Ukrainian nodes of resistance between Konstantinovka and Pokrovsk.
