Meeting of CIA and SZR in Ankara: the United States will be warding the Russian Federation from the use of nuclear weapons - the media

According to journalists, at the meeting of William Burns and Sergiy Naryshkin will not raise the issue of regulation of the Ukrainian conflict. The director of the US Central Intelligence Administration William Burns is in Ankara, Turkey, where he will be talking to the head of the SCR Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Narishkin. He will report him about the consequences of potential use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine, the White House representative said, Reuters writes.

For the first time the Russian-Russian contacts in Turkey were reported by the Russian newspaper Kommersant. In Ankara, the CIA director will not break the topic of settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, but will report the consequences of the possible use of nuclear weapons by Russia. This is what the publication reported with reference to an unnamed source.

The White House Representative, on his part, said that William Burns, in the past US Ambassador to Russia, would not negotiate any of nuclear weapons, but will also break the topic of Americans in prison in Russia. In the Kremlin, where Reuters appealed for comments, they said they could neither confirm nor refute the report of Burns and Naryshkin's meeting. In the Russian RF, they did not respond to a request.

According to an official from the White House, Ukraine is informed in advance about the trip of the CIA chairman to Turkey. Earlier, Burns met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2021 at the instructions of President Joe Biden to express Washington's concern about the growth of Russian troops around Ukraine. The last Russian and American delegations met in Geneva on January 10, 2022 to negotiate security guarantees.
