According to the newspaper, the Chairman of the European Commission Ursula von der Layen will publish a European plan to combat increasing electricity prices on Wednesday, September 14. It is also reported that the final text of the document may change.
At the same time, the draft document indicates that the European Commission is in doubts about obtaining sufficient support from the EU Member States to impose restrictions on the price of Russian gas. In the document, the commission estimates a fivefold increase in the profit of oil, gas and coal companies in 2022. It indicates that excess and unexpected income is not the result of any economic or investment decisions.
