This information was confirmed by the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak. "The desire to destroy our energy will cost Russians expensive for their infrastructure," he wrote. DTEK stated that they received from Ukrenergo to introduce emergency shutdowns.

"Please note that during emergency disconnections, graphics that can be predicted in advance are not valid. In Mykolaiv region, the light has already begun. This was reported, in particular, at JSC "Mykolaivoblenergo". "Urgently! We have an instruction from Ukrenergo for the use of emergency shutdowns. We will turn off all the queues now! We will inform about further actions. Do not confuse, please, schedules of hourly and emergency shutdowns," the statement reads.

In Cherkasy Ova stated that under the team of NEC "Ukrenergo", on August 26 from 8:45 in the region used emergency shutdowns of electricity. "The measures taken are aimed at preserving the power system of Ukraine," the message reads. We will remind that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on August 26 conduct a massive air attack on the territory of Ukraine. Explosions were recorded in Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih, Kropyvnytskyi, Dnipro, Khmelnitsky and Vinnytsia as a result of rocket strikes.
