The strategic defeat of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine does not threaten the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Russia, but can hit the stability of Putin's regime, according to ISW. Russia does not blow Ukraine if the event helps and mobilizes all its resources to confront the Kremlin. This opinion in the analytical report for June 20 was expressed by analysts of the American Institute of War.

"Isw continues to estimate that Russia cannot defeat Ukraine or West - and most likely loses if the event mobilizes its resources to confront the Kremlin," the statement said. Analysts believe that the nuclear threats of Russian President Vladimir Putin are part of the Kremlin nuclear blackmail campaign aimed at rendering allies of Ukraine from decisive obligations to overcome Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine, and therefore it is very unlikely that it will lead to factual nuclear escalation.

"Russia's strategic defeat in Ukraine does not threaten Russia's sovereignty and territorial integrity (but can threaten Putin's stability)," ISW said.
