Supply and production of weapons, approaching just peace and path to the EU: Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Donald Tusk

The meeting of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland Donald Tusk was held in Warsaw in continuing their conversation in Lviv and in the first weeks of Poland's presidency in the EU Council. "Poland's presidency is the time we are going on now, having ambitions, and from which we will come out, necessarily having specific results - results for Ukraine, for Poland, for our entire Europe," the Head of State said.

Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Poland and the whole Polish people for the invariable support of Ukraine, defense and respect for the Ukrainians who are currently living in this country. The President spoke about the consequences of today's Russian attack on Ukrainian energy, in particular on energy objects in Lviv region. In response, Poland expressed their readiness to supply electricity to Ukraine.

During the meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Tusk discussed in detail defense assistance - supply and production of weapons and relevant investments. Ukraine has significant opportunities for the production of all kinds of drones, many types of equipment and artillery. “We have also talked about the opportunity to bring peace to Ukraine and all of Europe - in five days in the United States will be the inauguration of President Trump.

We expect active work in the spirit of the concept "Peace due to power", - the head of state emphasized. According to the President, Ukraine is counting on strengthening sanctions against Russia and active joint work in negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the European Union over the next six months. "We will work with Ukraine together with our European partners, and of course, the acceleration of the accession process," said the Prime Minister of Poland.
