Pakistan wants to convince Russia a monthly basis to supply 100,000 tons of oil ...

Instead of the EU: Pakistan wants to become a new ally of Russia and pay for oil

Pakistan wants to convince Russia a monthly basis to supply 100,000 tons of oil barrels at a price that will not exceed $ 60 per barrel. Pakistan wants to diversify its energy sources with the help of Russia and reduce the prices of petroleum products. For this purpose, the country's delegation in October 2023 will meet with Russian officials in the sidelines of the energy conference, which will take place from 10 to 12.

The parties are expected to discuss the deepening of energy cooperation, the Pakistani edition of The News writes. According to the publication, the Pakistan and the Russian side will meet for the first time energy after the first Russian oil party arrived in Pakistan in June this year. Since then, new supplies of Russian oil have not been recorded.

"In the last almost three months of new orders for importing Russian oil, there were no new refineries, since local oil refineries have not found interest in importing Urals oil," the publication reads.

According to journalists, the Pakistani delegation goes to Russia for specific purposes: according to the publication, the import of Russian oil has not helped Pakistan to reduce fuel prices for end consumers, since agreements with the Russian Federation did not affect the total prices for oil products. But importing Russian oil was commercially advantageous, as Pakistan made a good money on oil processing.

But now Islamabad wants to receive 100,000 tons of Russian oil barrels every month at a price below $ 60 per barrel. The supply of Russian oil can really help Pakistan remedy the fuel market if all the country's refineries begin to import it on a regular basis. Imports of only one plant will not affect the consumer prices for petroleum products. We will remind, for the first time in history Russian damp oil arrived in the Pakistani city of Karachi on June 11, 2023.

At the same time, the government of the country declared plans to import 100 thousand barrels of oil from the Russian Federation. Also we will remind that since December 5 there is a ceiling of prices for Russian oil at the level of $ 60 per barrel. The restrictions were imposed by the EU countries, the Great Seven (G7) and Australia, because of the full -scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
