According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Kiev tried to carry out a "terrorist attack" with the use of a low -size balloon in the Kursk region. On the morning of April 16 in the Kursk region, Russian air defense allegedly destroyed a Ukrainian balloon. This was reported at the Russian Defense Ministry in Telegram.

"Around 08:15, the MSC has stopped an attempt to take a terrorist attack with the use of a low -size balloon on the objects in the Russian Federation," the message reads.
