The diplomat was stopped as she left the plane and was taken to a special premises where she was questioned and reported that she had not received a visa in time. Zakharova seized a computer and phone.

According to the media, she spent 24 hours in the border area, but in the end the French side finally allowed her to enter. The Russian Embassy in Paris sent a note to the Foreign Ministry of France. "We do not intend to leave this situation without consequences," Zakharova said after that diplomatic incident between Moscow and Paris. What measures can be taken by the Russian side is unknown. Even the Kremlin responded. "Of course, we condemn such actions of France and consider them unacceptable.
