Protect against attacks by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation: British planes protect ships in the Black Sea - the media

According to The Telegraph, the United Kingdom Government took this step in July, after Russia left the Grain Agreement and attacked the port infrastructure of Ukraine. The royal military-air forces provide the protection of vessels that carry grain from ports of Ukraine to prevent possible attacks by Russia. On September 8, the British newspaper The Telegraph reports.

Journalists of the publication point out that evidence of more British aviation activity in the Black Sea has been emphasizing the desire of the United Kingdom in recent weeks to ensure the safety of civilian vessels in the region. Thus, the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom has approved this step after Russia's attack on Ukrainian grain infrastructure in July, which happened after Russia withdrawing from the "grain agreement".

Downing Street emphasized that their operations in the Black Sea cover the exploration and monitoring of Russia's actions. British military planes are actively patrolling the area in order to prevent illegal attacks on civilians carrying grain. The publication notes that the British government announced information on the Patrolling of the Black Sea by the Royal Air Force in the context of the Future International Food Security Summit planned by the United Kingdom for November.

The purpose of the summit is to consider the causes of food instability and malnutrition, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the safety of food in the world. Russia ceased to participate in the Black Sea Grain Initiative in July. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that ships heading in the Black Sea to Ukrainian ports have been considered potential carriers of military cargoes since July 20.

On July 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin named the conditions for the restoration of the grain agreement, including the abolition of sanctions against Russian grain and fertilizers, the return of the SWIFT system to Russian banks, as well as a permit for trade in spare parts for agricultural machinery and unblocking of agricultural assets. On August 10, the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine approved temporary routes for commercial ships moving from Ukrainian ports.
