One window and weapon. As citizens can now make a weapon permit

In my opinion, the introduction in Ukraine of the relevant Register is an important step for simplifying the system of circulation of civilian weapons in our country both in modern realities and after the adoption and entry into force of the Law of Ukraine "On the right to civilian firearms" (Law No. 5708 of 25. 06. 2021). First of all, it is a significant simplification of the procedure for obtaining a weapon permit.

If you had to apply for weapons to the relevant police department, then from the beginning of the register, you can submit documents in three ways: we note that a full list of services concerning weapons is available on the portal "Single Window" for citizens: algorithm for submitting documents through " A single window "(for example, obtaining a weapon permit) is as follows: an algorithm for submitting documents through the store is similar to the algorithm above: after passing the authorization on the" Single Window "portal, a complete description of a specific service with the appropriate algorithm of action will be available for citizens.

As a result of consideration of the documents submitted by the applicant, the police body (unit) makes a decision in the form of an electronic document on which a qualified electronic signat is imposed. Based on the decision in the register, an appropriate record of granting permission or refusal to provide it is formed. From the date of formation of the corresponding record, the permit is considered to be provided to the applicant and the owner is registered.

Decisions are made within a period not exceeding 30 calendar days, unless otherwise provided. The decision to grant a weapon purchase permit is made by police bodies (units) within a period not exceeding twenty working days. That is, as far as I understand, the decision to grant a weapon permit is made within a period not exceeding 20 working days, at the same time, the total deadline for decision -making may not exceed 30 calendar days.

The decision to grant permission for the purchase of the same type of weapons, the device is made within 15 working days from the date of submission of documents. It should also be emphasized that the relevant decisions are made by employees of the permit system also through the electronic office. Accordingly, in my opinion, the corruption component of obtaining the appropriate permit is maximally leveled.
