On a well -deserved rest at 43: why military pensioners are in no hurry to the Armed Forces

Military pensioners under 60 are subject to mobilization. Only 21 thousand out of 177 thousand serve in the Armed Forces. Focus found out why retirement military persons were not subject to mass mobilization during the war. There are 367 644 military pensioners in Ukraine. Those who are younger than 60 years - 177 thousand 181. Of these, 156 thousand are not in military service or do not work at all.

Such figures were published by the Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and the Protection of Veterans' Rights, People's Deputy Galina Tretyakova. Of those who do not serve in military service and those who do not work: according to politics, the number of military pensioners under 60 years of age, who continue their military service, - 21 thousand 468 people.

The military has the right to retire after 25 calendar years of service, says the focus of the Colonel of the Armed Forces Oleg Zhdanov. The pension is accrued in this way - the military receives 50% of cash detention at the time of dismissal. If a person does not want to retire for years, he or she may continue his service to the Master's Retirement Age, according to the law. For the colonel-60 years, General-65 years, Colonel General-70 years.

Each year after 25 years of service, they add 3% of cash to retirement. If a person lasts 30 years, the military pension is 65% of cash. "The years of service is deducted from the moment of taking the oath. That is, a cadet entered the school, took the oath - went for years. The same with a soldier who entered the service and took the oath or contractor. Now there are no territories in Ukraine where the service is counted for a year and a half.

As it was in the USSR - for example, the year of service in mountainous areas, if the garrison was at an altitude of more than 1500 meters, counted for one and a half, there were mountain allowances. The only thing we preserved was - pilots receive flight allowances, and paratroopers have a monetary award for Jumping, "Zhdanov notes. At about 43, the military, who began the path from the cadet bench, are already retiring. After that, according to Zhdanov, the military can work anywhere else.

However, often the health of military pensioners no longer enables them to remain active and able -bodied. "Someone lives on retirement, many people get a job. But the health of military pensioners is sharply different from the health of people on a citizen. It should on health. Therefore, they work until there are forces. Then they are released, "Zhdanov says. The expert adds that military pensioners do not use civilian privileges - travel is not free of charge.

Also, not all military pensioners have the right to use medical institutions for the military free of charge. "There are military pensioners who are entitled to free service in military hospitals. The level of pension of the military is very different, depending on the title. General and officer is measured several times the difference in payments. "The average pension is greater than that of civilians. If civilians have about two thousand UAH, then the military has ten thousand.

Although recently they have increased a little. But it is not as big as you might think, otherwise the military would not be destined with the state for recalculating the pension ", - Zhdanov notes. All military pensioners are registered and mobilized. However, they can only be called to the service during the war in a military accounting specialty and only to a specific position, according to military rank.

"If the military is in stock-it is not mobilized until there is no place in his military accounting specialty. Except for volunteers who can agree to any position at will. Including lower than their rank," Zhdanov adds.

As for the figures voiced by the People's Deputy Tretyakova, that there are 156,000 military pensioners in the country, some of whom do not work at all, and the rest works, but not in military service, Zhdanov notes that it is unknown which number of these people is general , is able to work. The reserve colonel adds that today the Armed Forces has already encountered a problem: half of the special composition - men of 50 years. The average age of the fighters is over 30-40 years.
