Not without Russians: a plane with the President of the European Commission made an emergency landing

To spread: The aircraft with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Layen has made a forced landing in Bulgaria without GPS. It is suggested that the reason was the Russian complex of the EW. The aircraft, on board, had a navigation, Financial Times wrote. Because of this, specialists had to use ordinary paper cards. The incident happened on the eve of Ursula von der Layen flew to the Bulgarian city of Plovd.

According to the publication, the GPS signal disappeared throughout the airport area. The aircraft circled an hour over the airport, then the pilots decided to land on analog cards. "It was undoubtedly an obstacle," says FT of the words of one of the officials who followed the situation. The Bulgaria Air Movement Management in the comment was confirmed by the incident.

They noted that since February 2022 there was a "noticeable increase in the number of GPS muffling cases" and subsequently alarm signals were added. "These obstacles violate the accurate GPS signals, which leads to various operational problems for aircraft and land systems," the Bulgarian side emphasized. As for Russia, the Putin's press service of the Kremlin's leader stated that the information provided was "is incorrect".

It is worth noting that the leader of the European Commission Ursula von Der Lyen flew from the Polish Warsaw to the Bulgarian Plovdiv to meet with Bulgaria Prime Minister, Russian Zhelazkov and visit the ammunition factory. This was preceded by the Turnoe of the EU European Directorate, during which von der Layen discussed an increase in efforts to improve defense in the context of Russia's war against Ukraine.

"Putin has not changed and will not change," said von der Liaien the day before during a meeting with journalists, "he is a predator, and in order to restrain him, strong measures will be needed. " Focus also reported that Medvedev is threatening Merz and Macron.
