Led by an experienced commander: a military man told what Russian efforts are concentrated near Pokrovsk

Share: The Russians continue to build up forces near Pokrovsk, concentrating their efforts on the Pokrovsk and Dobropilsk directions. The group of airborne assault troops, concentrated in Pokrovsk, has an experienced commander with considerable experience in conducting complex operations. The capture of Pokrovsk could give the Russian army a strategic advantage on the battlefield.

Dmytro "Perun" Filatov, commander of the 1st separate assault regiment, told about this during an interview for "24 Kanal". The military officer explained why the Russians started the attack on Pokrovsk right now, and not earlier.

"If a year ago it was said that the airborne assault brigades could operate as part of their assault group and the commander of the airborne assault troops would command 4-5 brigades in one area at the same time, then everyone would have said that it was impossible, because all the airborne brigades were in different directions and divided into battalion-tactical groups," Perun said. According to him, these are one of the most efficient and powerful units.

They have a lot of experience in conducting combat operations, in particular, conducting complex operations, as well as "a high mobile component. " The command managed to free the assault brigades, after which they were united into a powerful group. Instead, it plays a significant role on the front line. In the Dobropilsk direction, in particular, all boilers formed assault units, "Perun" explained, while amphibious assault groups were engaged in clearing.

Thanks to this, it was possible to clean up a large part of the territory quite quickly. After this, the enemy concentrated a group of airborne assault troops in Pokrovsk, led by a commander with extensive experience in conducting complex operations. At the same time, the military officer believes that "not all the cards have been laid out yet" by the Ukrainian command. "Perun" also added that the situation in Pokrovsk remains tense.
