15 million UAH for the dead military: how families get help and what documents are needed

"From January 31, 2023, together with the entry into force of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the procedure for payment of a guaranteed amount of UAH 15 million was changed to families of dead servicemen. The family of every serviceman who died, defending Ukraine, has the right to a one -time cash payment of 15 million UAH. The Law on Social and Legal Protection of Servicemen and their Families states that in the event of death (death), disability or partial disability without establishing the disability Meeting or for service in the military reserve, a state guaranteed payment is provided.

The legislation, one of the spouses who have not married for the second time, children who have not reached the age of majority and dependents of the deceased (deceased), refers to people who have the right to appoint and receive such assistance. The amount of payment in the event of the death of a serviceman is UAH 15 million and is distributed equal to all recipients. People who are entitled to receive money can exercise this right from the date of its occurrence.

The day of such a right is the date of death of a person, during the period of martial law specified in the death certificate. The family of every serviceman who died, defending Ukraine, has the right to a one -time cash payment of 15 million UAH.

To receive payment, persons who have a similar right are submitted to the district (city) territorial center of acquisition and social support (TCCSP), together with a statement on assistance, the following documents: It is worth noting that starting on January 31, 2023, together with January 31 The entry into force of the order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine changed the procedure for payment of such payment to the families of fallen servicemen.

Previously, the state transferred the entire amount of payment, then after January 31, the assistance is transferred as follows: the money is transferred to the account of the bank, which the recipient will indicate in the statement. It is also worth considering the terms and procedure for seeking such assistance.

Family members should contact the district or city TCCSP regardless of the place of registration and submit the listed documents together with the application for one -time financial assistance. The TCCSP accepts the documents from the applicant (regardless of its place of registration), certifies copies of these documents and sends them to the regional TCCSP for subordination not later than 7 working days after receipt of all documents.

District or city TCCPP, which prepared the documents, inform the applicants about the decision -made decision on the appointment of financial assistance (or, for example, refusal to assign, or on the return of documents for revision or the need to provide additional documents).
