One of the holidaymakers, 30-year-old Ben Smith from Sheffild, said that three hours before the opening of the pool, most of the deck lumps were busy. The tourist noted that in the dark, a bed near the Gf Fanabe hotel pool on the island of Teerife was already covered with towels or even the people who remained on them. It is there that Smith and his family spend summer holidays. The cost of living in this four -star complex is £ 259 (approximately 12 thousand UAH) per night from the person.
"People are literally sleeping on deck chair so that no one takes their place," the tourist said in a comment to the publication. According to him, the hotel applies: towels from beds left unattended, the staff should be cleaned. That is why some of the holidaymakers spend the night near the pool to formally stay in place. "It looks a little absurd. I understand the motivation of people, but they themselves create a problem from which they try to escape," Smith added.
He also noted that most of the beds are often occupied only by towels, but in fact, no one uses them. According to him, there were repeated situations when three people managed to find only one vacancies. At the same time, some holidaymakers show goodwill - allow others to use unused beds. "On the one hand, it is nice, but on the other - why then keep the towel on what you do not use? It's rather a manifestation of selfishness," he said.
