Taurus missiles will not affect the outcome of the war, the Bundeswehr soldiers will not be sent to Ukraine - Pistorius

According to the head of the Ministry of Defense of Germany, the defense department against the transfer of Taurus missiles to Ukraine, as it does not want to become a party to the conflict. The head of the German Defense Ministry Boris Pistorius stated that the Taurus missiles of the far radius of action will not be decisive in the defensive war of Ukraine against the Russian Federation. He stated this at a press conference in the capital of Finland Helsinki, reports Yle.

According to Pistorius, Germany is against Taurus, as it does not want to become a party to the conflict. "We always emphasize that long -range missiles will not be decisive in the war," the Defense Minister said. In the Finnish capital, the German minister will meet with his colleague Antta Hakukyanen. Germany is also against the business of the military contingent to Ukraine. Pistorius said the idea was discussed, but Berlin did not consider such a scenario.

According to him, no one wants to introduce land troops into Ukraine, but discussions continue. In this matter, there is a decisive boundary, which the Western partners of Ukraine are not ready yet. "We will not become a war side. And that is why Taurus is not conveyed yet," Pistorius said. The White House Head, Joe Biden, also spoke against the US military contingent. "They do not ask for US soldiers. American soldiers do not fight in Ukraine. And I plan to continue to continue," Biden said.

The President of the United States believes that Ukraine is to resist the Russian Federation if the United States supplies the necessary defense weapons. The day before, in his address to Congress, he again asked to support a help package for Kiev. "If someone in this room believes that Putin will stop in Ukraine, then I assure you that not," he said.
